Ryder Cup 2024 Ireland Tickets Set Record at £434 Daily

Tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in County Limerick will see a significant price increase, with daily passes now set at €499 (£434) each. This marks a substantial hike from the €260 ticket price for the event held in Rome three years ago, as organisers prepare to release a batch exclusively for residents of Ireland. The event, where the U.S. will attempt to reclaim the trophy, is being held on its centenary and will offer an enhanced fan experience.

Practice-day tickets are more affordably priced, with adults paying €89 and children €20 for the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions. For Thursday, which includes the opening ceremony, prices rise to €179 for adults and €30 for children. Despite the increased costs in Europe, the tickets remain cheaper than last year’s event at Bethpage in New York, where fans paid $750 (£555) to witness Europe’s victory over the U.S.

Richard Atkinson, the chief Ryder Cup officer, explained that several factors contribute to the increased prices. “We acknowledge it’s an increase from Rome. That was four years ago and a lot has happened in the world since then. We are lower than Bethpage,” Atkinson commented. He emphasized that the pricing aims to be accessible to a broad audience, with practice day tickets starting at €89 and junior tickets from €20, reflecting the event’s global stature.

Organisers are working to offset the impact of these price hikes by promising an “enhanced experience” for attendees. The Ryder Cup’s return to Ireland for the first time since 2006 is anticipated to be a grand affair, with plans for a record 20,000 grandstand seats and numerous giant screens to enhance the viewing experience. Atkinson highlighted these efforts, stating, “We have extensive plans in place to enhance the onsite experience for fans attending the 2027 Ryder Cup.” The emphasis is on creating an unforgettable event, underscoring the Ryder Cup’s status as one of the world’s premier sporting events.
