Belgium secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Türkiye in a UEFA Nations League match held in Liege on Friday, marking Türkiye’s third consecutive defeat in the tournament. Kevin De Bruyne was instrumental in Belgium’s win, scoring twice to establish a commanding lead.
De Bruyne’s first goal came after a well-executed exchange of passes with Dodi Lukebakio, culminating in a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Despite Türkiye’s efforts to find an equalizer, they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. De Bruyne then extended Belgium’s advantage by curling a shot into the top corner of the net.
Romelu Lukaku, who entered the match as a substitute in the 61st minute, sealed the victory for Belgium 15 minutes later. He converted a low cross from Charles De Ketelaere, scoring from close range.
The loss leaves Türkiye at the bottom of Group A1, with no points after three matches, while Belgium advances to six points, trailing group leaders France by just one point. Türkiye is set to face Italy on October 5, but will be without Arda Güler and Barış Alper Yılmaz, who are suspended due to yellow card accumulations.
