HAKONE, JAPAN – Hotel Okura will open Okura Resort Hakone Gora in 2029, marking the launch of its first resort property in Japan. Located in Hakone, one of the country’s most prestigious hot spring destinations, the resort is designed to deliver a highly private and refined guest experience.
The property will comprise 58 guest rooms, each featuring a private open-air hot spring bath supplied with authentic Owakudani thermal water. The resort’s architectural and interior concept, titled “Forest Hideaway,” has been created by acclaimed designer Gwenael Nicolas, blending natural materials with contemporary luxury.
Additional highlights include world-class teppanyaki dining and Hotel Okura’s signature service standards. The resort is positioned as an exclusive retreat emphasizing privacy, tranquility, and premium hospitality.
