The Toronto Blue Jays have added a two-way sensation in JoJo Parker, the eighth overall pick of the 2025 MLB Draft. With standout performances as both a hitter and a pitcher, Parker brings uncommon versatility and upside to the organization.
At Purvis High School in Mississippi, Parker became a local legend as he shattered records and powered his team into the state championship conversation. His draft position sets a new benchmark for athletes from Purvis.
Parker batted .489, slugged 13 home runs, drove in 35, and racked up 64 runs scored in his senior season. His 30 stolen bases showcased his explosive athleticism and base awareness.
Add to that his 8-2 pitching record, 2.77 ERA, and 89 strikeouts, and Parker becomes a cornerstone developmental project for the Blue Jays. With elite tools on both sides, he could be Toronto’s next breakout star.
